We all are familiar with selling and what it’s all about.

You go out on the street into a market and everyone is trying to sell you something. This is typical to everyone no matter where we live in the world. I used to hate when people try to sell to me because they are being too loud and too pushy most times.

Well… What if they could sell to me without talking, what if there was a way to effectively sell without being a loudmouth.

The most powerful sales tool is words, written words. This will be a killer tool in the hands of any man who knows how to trigger the right emotions by just using words.

In the age of the internet, copywriting has been the powerhouse behind millions of dollars of sales and this is something we all come across with or without being conscious of it.

From blog post, to sales letters, emails and so on and more.

Every minute we spend online, every ad we see moves us closer to being hypnotised by powerful words written to get us to take an action.

So what is copywriting?

According to American Writers and Artists Inc. copywriting is the process of writing advertising promotional materials. Copywriters are responsible for the text on brochures, billboards, websites, emails, advertisements, catalogues, and more.

This text is known as “copy.” Copy is everywhere

Unlike news or editorial writing, copywriting is all about getting the reader to take action. That action might be to purchase, opt-in, or engage with a product, service, or company.

That’s why a copywriter is often referred to as “a salesman in print.”

Personally, I have been writing copies online even before I got to know what I was doing and learnt how to do it better.

Coming from a background of being a freelance web designer and business proposal writer, I have spent a lot of time writing to get people to buy my stuff and this is fun because you get to be powerful even in your absence.

As a business person, copywriting is something you will always need to have for your websites, emails, ads etc. Being able to positions your works to trigger a direct response from your audience will be the key to exploding your bank account.

You have to be able to create content that will compel people to click on your websites, trigger their love-hate emotions and take them from a position of being lost to being able to see that you have the key to the solution they seek.

And this is not all… because everyone needs a little push to take action so this is where you have to use the FOMO system to push them to click right away and purchase what you are selling.

The real challenge from trying to create a copy comes from knowing how to structure your words to carry your audience to read from the beginning of your copy down to where you ask them to take action.

Just like every other thing in life, there is a shortcut to it.

If you cant DIY, then try the DFY route.

But if you are not good with writing then, you should consider getting someone to get your copies written for you.
